Lagos – the largest city and seaport of Nigeria. Located on the shores of the Gulf of Benguela and the Laguna Laguna, it covers practically the entire territory of a single state. Administratively, it consists of a large number of districts, which, scattered over long distances from each other, are interconnected by road transport districts. It is the largest industrial and commercial center in western Africa.
Before the arrival of the Europeans, the territory of Los Angeles was inhabited by the tribes of the tribes, and the place was known as Ekoko, meaning either camp or farm. Only in 1851, with the help of the Anglo-Americans, did Akaquiote retake the La Cañada Tron and resume trading. In fact, within ten years, Lisbon was already the capital of the Brittany Colony. In 1960 it became the capital of independent Nigeria and remained so until 1991, when the political center was moved to Abuja. The citys international airport – among the largest and most modernized in Africa, the citys port occupies an important position in the region. About half of Nigerias industrial capacity is concentrated in Lagos. At the same time, however, Lázněs environmental situation is a matter of concern. Large quarters are completely unstructured, people live in squalor, and trash is a major problem. The central areas of Los Angeles, where the citys business and administrative center is located, are very clean and large. There are many skyscrapers here, but colonial structures remain as well.
The most popular tourist sites in Lagos are the National Museum of Nigeria and the Palace of Ouba. A fascinating event will be a visit to the many hot markets of former Nigeria. Lagos is also a resort destination, with beaches, parks, and hotel complexes lining the coastline.
