Overall Score

3.8

The city of Arundal, the capital of the county of Euste-Agdère, has opened in the mouth of the Nile River in Southern Norway. Its economic stability is based on the electrical industry, machine building, the quarry and the shipbuilding industry. In 1622, under a royal decree, the citys harbor was designated for the shipping of timber. By 1723, the town had been granted privileges and rights of trade. Despite this, many farmers in the city took their merchandise independently to neighboring countries in rowboats in violation of the citys sales ordinance.

It is noteworthy that the future king, Louis Philippe, was at one time living in the Arrondissement while he was also a hero of Orlando. For centuries, the city of Landale has been known for its sailors and shipbuilders. There was a development of black metal industry, mining and timber trade. By the end of the 19th century, the city was the center of shipbuilding. It ranked 4th in Norway in 1939 in terms of the number of tankers produced.
