Near the north shore of Lake Victoria in the Central Region is the capital city of Campala, the capital of Uganda. The citys territory is occupied by seven hills. The city was founded in 1890 as a fortified fortification point. It was founded by a native of England, Leuguard. The origin of the name of the city is related to the inhabitants of the area – the Antelopes. Before the Anglo-Saxon conquest, the area of the present city and its environs was a hunting ground for the indigenous inhabitants. Even now, Kampalas territory is dwindling in abundant vegetation. The central part of the city is occupied by the hill of Nacăcasero. Here stands the Monument of Liberty, the symbol of the countrys conquest of independence. An ancient decoration is the temple of Nómogóngo. Along the streets are shopping malls, office buildings, and government buildings. Its architecture is not typical of African settlements. The center is a concentration of tall, modern buildings. The old quarters are furnished with buildings in an eastern style. Here one can see churches with elevated minarets, pious cathedrals with gleaming ceilings, and Indian temples with many baskets. Its pleasant climate attracts many tourists. The townspeople dont suffer from the annoying soreness of the place. The picturesque landscapes and natural scenery will hardly leave anyone indifferent. The white, snowy peaks of the mountains and the vast expanses of the savannahs are a sight to behold. Lake reservoirs are characterized by their coolness and abundance of fish, which is particularly valued by fishing enthusiasts.

Campaign has many characteristics, one of which is its multiplicity. Many people of African descent, as well as immigrants from Europe, live in the city. Native-born citizens are from the Baguinda tribe.
