The largest city in the Mediterranean Sea, Kagliari, has been known since ancient times as a Finnish tribe called Kārālis, &Laquo;s Gate of God. A convenient sea cove, fertile fields around it encouraged the rapid growth of the settlement. From the 6th century CE. Caracalis was under the rule of Carafaghan, but the island went to Rome during the Ponucian Wars. The Roman period had a beneficial effect on the growth of trade, population, roads, and waterways. The island was invaded by the Land of the Gentiles. But by the middle of the 6th century – under the rule of the Empire – it changes its name to Calvarys. The Middle Ages – a time of decline for a city that has survived the ravages of the Normans, the Arabs, the many thousands of Second World War pirates. Calvary occupied a crucial strategic position at the crossroads of the sea routes, so it was the focus of uninterrupted military operations. The Guinnesses claimed the city, as did Peisa, who had continued to own the city of Sardinia and fortified Cagliari with fortifications and fortifications. In the end, the island was occupied in 1324 by the armies of Hamé²², King of Aragon. The Spanish rule was established there. From the end of the 15th century, when the united Spain moved into Atlantics and the New World, Cagliaris importance as an important trading port declined.

For the 18th century, Cagliari was subject to attack by the Britons, the Austrians, and the city repeatedly changed hands from one kingdom to another (particularly the Sardinian one). It was only after the eventual reunification of Italy that the city became part of the Italian state. The Roman heritage is represented by the Basilica of St. Martin, the Menacing Storm and the Pune Necropolis, the complex of the Villa of Tighellia and the Amphitheatre of Rome with an audience of 10,000. The Pisasan period is represented by the solid walls, the towers of degli Elle Eiffente and degli Pincenzio, and the cathedral of SantAnna Maria. The Spanish left behind a memorial to Our Lady. Later constructions include the Archangel Michael Museum, the Archaeological Museum, and the St. John Remy Basilica.

Theres also Cagliarri, known for its picturesque Potoetto Beach and its enormous aquapark, «Divingworld». There is a botanical garden, a nature reserve with pink flowers. The city is full of restaurants, where they are always happy to serve the traditional dishes of the region: «kasu marraquo; (black sheep cheese) and paste mallolodudes.

The food is a great way to make a meal.
