To the south-east of Kammerun is Yaoundé, the capital of the country and the center of the Department of Munich and the Central Region. The main attraction of the capital is the monastery of the Benedictine. It is located in the central part of the city. To the north of the complex is the Museum of Art, whose exhibits include masterpieces of Cameroonian art. There is a wealth of information about the development of artisanal crafts in the center of the villages. The capital is famous for its higher education institutions. There are several high schools – agricultural, technical, pedagogical, and national. The University of Jühde began in 1962. The largest libraries are the University Library and the National Library.
