One of the five Flemish provinces and one of the ten Belgian provinces is Antwerp, which is connected to the North Sea by a branch of the River Hellebore. The capital of the province has the same name. It was founded on Roman lands. It was first known from written sources dating back to the 7th century. In the 9th century, the waterfront of the Schooldt River was the border between Eastern and Western Thrace.

Diamonds are used in the diamond business and in the manufacture of drilling equipment. The Moolool municipality built its first Belgium Atomic Power Plant in 1961. Agriculture plays an important role in the economy of the country. A number of wilderness areas have been established to protect the flora and fauna of the Antwerp River, in particular at Chevaluthes-Heudeude and Leeremann. In spite of the small massifs, there are cats, red deer, wood pigeons, jackrabbits, pigeonhawks, pigeonhawks, and cats. Among the birds there are curopatka, fasian and walderschnecks.
