In the northern part of Morocco, on the Atlantic Ocean side of the Strait of Antarctica, Tangier is the northernmost part of the Atlantic Ocean. Being territorially within the boundaries of the province of Tángér-Tétuan, it is a separate administrative, economic, and political unit under the direct authority of the state and the king. As a major port and major hub, Tangier is a gateway for many cultural, financial, economic and other organizations. According to some ancient Greek myths, the city was founded by the ancient ancient king Antaeus. The caves near Tinga are believed to have been where Terrakel is said to have spent the night before his famous adventure. In the 1st century, Tinga was conquered by the Romans, after which the city became the center of the Tinganta-Mavaretan Empire. In the 6th-8th centuries, the city was conquered successively by the Vindalians, the Visigoths, and the Arabs. Various Maccoccan dieneses flourished here until the European (Portuguese) Expansion began in the 15th century. Tanger was in the sphere of interests of Spain, England, it was disintegrated, crumbled, was an apple of division, but it was invariably revived thanks to its advantageous location. Tangiers has always been a multicultural city. In 1923-56 it was even a free international zone under the prototype of six European countries, after which it became part of Morocco.
Tanger is rich not only in history, but also in its attractions. Mys Spartel – the most famous of them all. Not far from it, 12,000 years ago, an island, which some people call Atlantis, was found. Therefore, there is no shortage of explorers, and all the conditions for seaside recreation are good in Tangier. This includes a 47-kilometer beach area. There, too, on Spartacus Point, is one of the Kings references. The area of the old city (Médine) is known for its fortresses, the Boulevard Mohammed VI – restaurants, cafes, entertainment centers. A port is being renovated in Tangier to meet the demands of modern times. It is also changing the look of Méditerranée and of the quadrants to suit the tourists.
