The town of Viña dellMar is located in the province of Valparaiso, eight kilometers from its administrative center. Its name is Spanish for Wineries by the Sea. A short distance between the two towns can be crossed in 10 minutes by the Metro. Vigneault-de-Mar is practically the administrative center of the city. It has a well-developed recreation and entertainment structure. It is considered the most popular resort on the Central Coast. Thanks to an abundance of parks, beautiful green alleys and gardens, it has been given the beautiful, unconventional name of Garden City. It continues to expand its borders, increasing its area. Many new shopping malls, high-rise residential buildings, and restaurants have appeared on the streets lately. Two Art Nouveau palaces are considered the hallmarks of Viennese-les-Mar. One rises on the cliff, the other stands on an elevated site with a slope facing the ocean.
