To the northwest of México lies the city of Errmóllio. It is known as an important transport hub and the center of the farming region. Its origin is connected with the name of the warrior for the liberation of the country from the Spanish rule of González de Ermelo. The urban area is surrounded by arable land, where various types of crops are grown. The agricultural sector is considered to be a traditional one. Agriculture was practiced here up to two thousand years ago.

The Spanish occupation of this area dates back to the mid-16th century. At that time, the main purpose of the arrival of the Europeans was the search for gold. Sixty years later, the first Johnsongers were here. In the early 18th century there were three Spanish villages in what is now the city. But the hostility of the native inhabitants forced the newcomers to abandon their homes more than once. As a result, in 1716, the colonial authorities were forced to give the natives their homestead lands under the condition that they abide by the Spanish laws. At the end of the century, by the beginning of the 21st century, Erromoille had become the administrative center of the State of Sona and a thriving city.
