Intag is a remote mountainous area in the Cotacachi and Otavalo states of Intabura Province, Ecuador, named after the Intag River. It includes the Intag Cloud Forest Reserve, which has 1800-2800 m of pristine cloud forest and high biodiversity. The Cotacachi Cayapas Ecological Reserve limits the north. Intag is about 1800 meters above sea level. Parts of the Intag area are subtropical rain forests in the Andes. The Andes are rugged and uneven. Including the Intag River, there are other rivers and streams on the mountain.
