In North Korea, the city of Namhpy choi is a port on the Pyeongchang coast. It is the port of Pyongyang on the Yellow Sea coast. From 1980 to 2004, Namhõe was under the control of the countrys capital city, but then under the control of the provincial government. The citys territory is situated on the banks of the River Týdégon.

Modern Námpho has a developed industry that has benefited from public investment. The city is known as the center of the shipbuilding industry. In the past, it was a tree. But over time it developed and became a city. In 1897, Námokhoe became an open port city for outside trade.

As a modern industrial center, Námokhoe began to develop from 1945 after the restoration of the countrys independence. Despite the fact that the citys territory lies on the banks of the Tadjonagon River, agriculture here is underdeveloped because of the lack of moisture due to the small number of landings. Between the city and Pyongyang, there is a railway line and a motorway.
