The city of Tijuana, the center of the municipality, lies in the northwest corner of México. It is similar to the city in the Americas, San Dieguega. Tehuanuana and Mexico City are 170 kilometers apart.
Before the Jews came to where they are now, their hometowns were dominated by the Quumiyas, as evidenced by historic records of the monitors. The name of the city presumably has its Indian roots. The first European to appear in Tehuantána in 1769 was the Móno Junipiro Cerra. Although 1889 is considered the official year of the founding of the city, there was already a court and government in 1864. The first tourist complex was established in 1927. By that time it had already been operating for three years. In 1928, in the beginning of the summer, the city opened a casino. The gambling business ended in 1935. At that time, by decree of the President, all the institutions that had anything to do with gambling were closed. Soon there was an educational complex inside the former tourist center. Today it is the site of a public high school.
In 1938, Tijuana opened a bullring called "Tijuana Corrida; a bullfighting arena. In the last month of May 1954, the first city administration became active. In early 2007, the archdiocesan archdiocese was transferred here. That same year, the Womens World Cup was held in Tehuanan.
The citys business center is located in the historic Center and is made up of numerous hotels and hotels, shopping malls and stores, and offices of banks, companies and firms. The large shopping center Plaza Río and the citys cultural center are located on the Paseo de los Héros. The soccer stadium, the Municipal Auditorium, the pavilion and the two towers of Las Torres are next to the Avenue de la Aguacaqualiente.
The main governmental center of the city and the municipal palace of Tehuanto take over the territory of Paseo dele Centenario. Here, too, the high-rise building of the New City has risen upward. Along the oceans edge stretches the northwest corner of Place de la Juanana. To the east of the city lies the easternmost industrial area, Centenario.
