  • Internet: The Internet speed in Tijuana is fine.
  • Safety: The crime rate is low, but this does not mean that you need to stop being vigilant at night.
  • Free WiFi: Unfortunately, there are very few points in Tijuana that provide free Wi-Fi, and those that do have a weak Internet signal, so in many cafes wifi Internet is available only at a low speed.

  • Racial tolerance: Cases of racial and ethnic discrimination are extremely rare.

  • Friendliness to outsiders: The locals are not super friendly to outsiders, but nevertheless polite.

  • Female friendly: Despite the fact that women have equal rights with men and the attitude towards them is liberal, in some areas there are still many prohibitions against them. Decisions in the family are usually made by men, the influence of women in the family is very great.

  • LGBTQ friendly: It has been established that the majority of Tijuana citizens have an excellent attitude towards the LGBT community.

  • Quality of life: performs above average in subjective well-being, jobs and wages, income and well-being, health, social connections, environmental quality, education and skills, work and leisure balance, housing and personal safety.

  • English: It will not be easy to communicate directly with the locals – few people speak English, except for the staff of large hotels and restaurants.

  • Education: Secondary and higher education institutions provide a very mediocre level of knowledge, which indicates the need to reform them and introduce new, more effective programs and trained teachers in Tijuana.

  • Freedom of speech: There is no formal freedom of speech. Any negative information in the media is prohibited. Foreign radio programs are jammed.

  • Traffic safety: A lot of work has been done to ensure road safety. That’s why the road accident rate can be considered as low.

  • Entertainment: Tijuana has a lot of entertainment, cafes, clubs, restaurants, places to relax with friends, romantic dates and just to have a good time.
