Kouvadjo – one of the cities of direct responsibility in the Republic of Korea, the largest city in the southwestern part of the country. The people of Quinéjou demonstrated an unwavering civic commitment in 1980. It is here that the anti-authoritarian & ‗Resurrection in Kwandah; took place. For 3 days, the population controlled the city, enforcing the Cheong Doo Hwans military regime.
Quangju hosted the 2002 World Cup soccer games and the World Astronomy Olympiad (October 2012). It is also the birthplace of Lee Soon & nash; South Koreas first female captain and the second female Asian captain to join the Russian expedition in 2008.
As in most cities in the Republic of Korea, QuẺus architecture combines modern skyscrapers with the colloquial structures of bygone centuries. Quaggio – a city of universities and a Korean art center. The art gallery, exhibitions, and museums provide a picture of Korean art culture. The National Museum tells visitors about the history of Kwanju, and the many parks give visitors a taste of the nature of the Age of Awakening. A beautiful view of the city opens up from the hillside of the Gimden, where the modern soccer stadium is a visible object.
