The French city of Dijon has a long and glorious history. In the beginning it was a small Gallic village, whose inhabitants supported Gaius Elias Caesar in his war against Werzinger. For this, the future emperor exempted them from taxes and took them into the service of guarding the borders of the Roman Empire. The later German invaders forced the city to raise its strong walls, and since then the city of Divivo, which later became Dijon, has kept its record. For a time, the Anglo-Episcopalians occupied the site, and thanks to them the city gained several high churches. From then on, the city went from hand to hand in the struggle for the right to own this powerful stronghold and the center of the local lands. In the end, Dijon became an integral part of the Kingdom of France in the province of Bourgogne. The city and the government reached their peak during the period of the government of Valaua, which had transformed its possessions into a great mid-European kingdom, not on the same scale as France or even England. Despite remaining a small city, June is a very wealthy city, but it is still under construction at that time. It wasnt until the death of the last Louis that the city rejoined the French, able to retain many rights and privileges. Many monasteries and churches were founded, parks were created, and a library and academy were founded. However, in the period of the French Revolution, many of them were demolished, and the bells and monuments were replaced by cannons. But that didnt stop Geneva from being a beautiful and pleasant city.

In the early 20th century, Geneva was going through a period of industrial expansion and urbanization. A railroad is being built, various heavy industries are being established, and the people worked for them.

p>The city is home to a great number of beautifully preserved monuments of history and archaeology. Among them are numerous cathedrals and churches, the oldest of which date back to the 13th century. The civil architecture has also been preserved, as well as many monuments to various events and people. The memorial on the corner of the Cathedral of Our Lady, considered the symbol of the city, is a special attraction for tourists.
