To the south-east of the Austrian state of Queensland lies the city of Gold Coast, the largest tourist center in the country. In ancient times, aborigines used to live there. Winter is characterized by infrequent precipitation, while thunderstorms are possible in summer. Todays ââ¬ËœGold Coast attracts white, sandy beaches, and mothballs.
With regard to local amenities, theme parks vary by area; golf courses, of which there are 40; various sports, including waterskiing and jumping. Many tourists are attracted by the outdoor activities, including surfing.
