One theory has it that the city of Sochi takes its name from a certain river. But the name of the river is derived from the Abkhaz-Adyghe name Sasha, Sasha. In Adyghe history, the name Sasha reminds about an ancestor of the Kabardian princes, who was called Inal. His wife was a descendant of the princely family of Chashe. Even todays Adyghes can be found with the name of Chashayeva. According to another version, in 1641, the mentioned word &quo;word» belonged to the Turkish soldier Elya Cheliya. ×Cheliya called «Secchi» a tribe that lives in the mountains in the area of Adler (Artler). The word & ‖sodachi‖ has been translated from Turkish, German, Russian: Sadashcha, Sadacha, Sacha, Sacha, Sacha. Famous Kazakh historian Anatoly Nesterovitch Ghenko established on the basis of ancient records that the tribe of Sadocha spoke in the Ubykh language, which was later derived from the Abkhaz and Adyghe languages.

In the 19th century, the Russian fortifications of the river, which were originally named Aleksiksanderskaya, Dakhovka, and Nakhicheskaya, appeared in the rivers mouth. Only from the beginning of the 20th century along with the official name of the Russian settlement of Dakhakhovka another name appeared: Soty.

If we talk about the earlier history of these places, approximately in the 4th-5th centuries AD. The Greek colonization of the Black Sea coast begins. The local tribes living in present-day Georgia are now called the Achaeans and Gentiles.

In 844, the Kingdom of Georgia tried to seize the Kingdom of Abahaz, but tried hard. It was during this time that the Caucasus was experiencing an accelerated spread of Christianity and the construction of Christian churches. The most famous architectural monument of the Caucasus is the basilica, a rectangular-shaped building, which is extended from the west to the east. It is located on the territory of the present-day South Cultures & ‖Southern Cultures‖.

The city of Sochi was founded as the Port of Alixandria in 1838. During the time of the Caucasus, the territory of modern Sochi was home to such ports as Lazarevsky, Golovinskiy, and the Fort of the Holy Spirit, which subsequently became large residential neighborhoods. The purpose of the fortifications was to prevent the commerce and trade with the townspeople.

In 1839, during the Crimean War, the garrisons were moved to present-day Novorossiysk, In 1864, a new post, Dakhovksy, was established on the outskirts of the city, which subsequently became a large city called Soghy (named after the river that lies beside it).

Since 1937, Sochi has been part of the Krasnodar Territory.

The Dolomites at Sochi are intriguing architectural structures located along the entire Black Sea coastline. They are like the giant giant sabers built by unknown master builders of enormous slabs. The waters of the local river are crossed by the sun, scratching the snakes.
