At a height of 400 meters, not far from the Jajabalpur Passage through the Satapur Mountains, in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh, there is an important central city called Jajabalpur. The city is a crossroads between the railroad connecting Mumbai and Calcutta, and a major highway. Its advantageous geographic location (it is in the center of India) ensures the countrys prosperity and the influx of workers from the countrys less developed cities.
In ancient times the city was called «Tripyuri» headed by the Hiyayahuya dynasty, which is confirmed by the Mahāhārahārata – an ancient Indian epos. Since that time, the city has become very famous and has been the capital of many denominations: Gupta, Mauraurya. However, when the Kalychuri dynasty came to power, the dominant role of the city waned – this decline lasted until the invasion of the Gandhas, which gave Tripire the new name «Gandhavana» and the status of the capital. From that time on, the city was repeatedly subjected to invasions and changed hands. The last owners are the Brittans, who took it from the Maritimes. Even today, the architechture, which has survived over time, is filled with the spirit of the colonial era.
The main attraction of Jógor is undoubtedly the marble cliffs, about 20 miles from the city and spread out by the Nirmada River. They are of remarkable beauty. Directly in the city itself, you can visit the Museum of Art of Georgia, where the sculptures and letters are preserved, and the abandoned garden displays examples of Jain and Indian art. You can also see seals of different denominations, bronze dishes, and works of art and craftsmanship. Three kilometers to the west of the city center is a series of ancient shrines, ghats and bananas, opposite which the ruins of Madan Mahals twelfth-century palaces rise high on the mountain. One kilometer away from this site, on the border of Nirmada, there is another sacred site – a group of shrines called Tīlvārah Hakhat. This place is known for the fact that it is the place where Mahatma Gandhis praise was developed.
The place is known for the fact that it is the site of Mahatma Gandhi.
