On the coast of the Arabian Sea, the Indian city of Cochin, a major port in the State of Kerala, has sprung up. For a long time different owners have been around, shifting from one to the other. Since the beginning of the 12th century, Kochin was part of a small principality and was its kingship. The first Jews settled there at the dawn of the 16th century. In 1502, Basque da Gama became the founder of the first trading post in the Indian colonies. For more than 150 years the Portugalians have maintained their present location. In 1663 they were replaced by the Dutch. After the island of Bangka became the property of Holland, Cochin became a British colonial town in 1795. A lesser number are represented by the Kichan. In addition, there are believers of Islam, Secularism, Judaism, and Judaism in the city. The main language for communication is Malayalam. English is used in business.
The city area includes parts of the Motherland and the peninsula, as well as smaller islands. Kocin lies not far from the equator and is dominated by the tropical monsoon climate. Its territory stretches almost 50 kilometers along the coastline.
The largest part of the city and the fastest growing one, Ernaculum occupies the maternal bank of Lake Babanade, which was formed by the flow of water from the slopes of the Western Ghats. The citys oldest ports, Matthathaicherry and Fort Cochin, are on the flat land at the mouth of the harbor. On the north side are the most northerly, the largest, Waipin, Gundu, and Bolgatati lakes. The water gyration is a combination of interspersed herbaceous patches that form floating islands. They often have white seals on them. The historical heritage of past times is mainly found in the areas of Matatanioceri and Forte de la Cotina.
