In the land of the Indian state of Otrar Pradeesh lies the city of Meerut (Meerut, Meerut). Its territory stretches between two rivers, the Jemna and the Gang. 70 kilometers from Merraeth is the capital city of Delhi. On one city street stands a memorial to General Ocherelloni. It was erected to commemorate the events of 1857. At that time, the military garrison, located on the outskirts of the city, was the site of the Sepoy Rebellion. Three regiments, organizing a riot, left the city for Delhi. The insurgents were supported by the citizens of the city and the people of Delhi. Their demand was for the restoration of the once ruling dynasty of the Great Moguls.

Currently, the city is a significant hub for railroad lines, truck lines, and an important center for commerce and imported goods. Local products include a variety of clothing, utensils, soap, flour, cotton and sugar. Until now, ancient structures have survived, including mosques with their towering minarets, the mausoleum of the Moholy Chahkir, which dates back to the 12th century, and the Indian churches. The Suraj Khund complex is particularly noteworthy. There are a number of institutions of higher learning in the current city, including a college built in 1892 and a university opened in 1965.

ÃÂ The city is known for the judicial proceedings against the leaders of the labor movement, which ran from 1929 to 1932. The reason for their arrest was the alleged conspiracy against the ruling king in British India. The court sentenced them to a long term of imprisonment. But due to the movement of the protest in India and abroad, the sentences were shortened considerably. In spite of the massive scale of the struggle against the guerrillas, many historic events took place in the city over the centuries. For example, in 1398 Maeraskh was saddled by the army of Timur. At that time, the citys fortification was considered inaccessible. This was the reason why the captors tried to win them over. But in the end they took the city by storm with the help of ladders. When Timurs army stormed the city, it killed many citizens and then destroyed the fortifications. As time passed, Mărătih was reborn and continued to develop as a center for trade and craftsmanship.
