Another favorite of residents and tourists is the California Parks of Calcutta. This park, created by the union of the Dacauria Lakes and the gardens on their shores, is included in guided tours as one of the attractions of the city. You can take a boat ride on the lake, or relax in the cool, under the shade of trees. In addition, the park also has a Christian sanctuary and a swimming pool.
The Baháí Minár – is a five-and-a-half-story monument that combines several styles of architecture: the dome – in Turkish, the middle – in Syrian, and the base – in Egyptian. It was built in the early 19th century with public funds and was later named in honor of the Independence Fighters of India, who gave their lives to this noble cause.
Another interesting feature of the city is the Khora Bridge, better known as the gateway to Kalkutta. It is one of the worlds largest bridges, less than a kilometer long and over two hundred meters wide, built across the Huugli River, is one of the worlds most heavily-loaded bridges, used by more than two million people each day.
