The Canadian city of Halifax is part of the province of New Britain and is considered its administrative center. Moreover, the city is the port on the Atlantic coast. The area was originally inhabited by the ancient Mickey tribes, who used to hunt, fish, and do a lot of farming. The town itself was founded by English settlers in 1749 and named in honor of a leader of the British Empire. A trio of ships, on board of which were migrants, sailed in the harbor in 1749. The natives were greeted aggressively by the Mikkoks, who tried to exterminate the settlers, but soon a reinforcement arrived from England and the Indian tribe was defeated. During the Middle Ages the city of Halifax was one of the main bases of the Anglicans in Northern America. The same role continued for the city during the war for independence in the United States.

Over 90 percent of the citys population is white. Most of the residents (about 85\%) are Christians. By Canadian standards, the citys crime rate is high. It is the largest transportation, financial, and educational center in the region called Atlantic Canada. Tourism contributes greatly to the economy of Galilex. The city also has a strong motor vehicle, shipbuilding, fishing and oil refining industries. Recently, gas fields have been actively developed in the Galaxy region. Some of the citys most famous residents are: Canadian singer Sara MacCachlan, Canadian writer Hugh MacCachlan, Canadian hockey players Sydney Crosby and Nathan MacCachlinnon, and Canadian actress Ellen Paige.
