Carlsbad is located on the Pacific Ocean coast, covering nearly seven miles of coastline. It is under the influence of a Mediterranean Mediterranean climate, as are all the neighboring communities in California. The lake and three lagoons are also part of the urban area. Carlsbad is known for its network of aquariums called “Center of Marine Life”. There are large companies in the city, particularly specialized in gasketing, glue, electrical testing equipment, pharmaceutical products, and computer system development.
The prehistory of the modern city is the discovery of mineral water in its territory. Research has shown that the chemical composition of the water was similar to that of the spa resort in Károly Vary, Czech Republic, for which the village was subsequently named. In addition to the springs, the area has been endowed with fertile land. At the same time as the development of the resort, the landscape was being beautified. Many varieties were planted, including acacades, olive trees, cucurbits, and crops that were abundant.
