Waterfalls formed on the river about 14,000 years ago during the ice age. Europeans were here for the first time in the early part of the century. In 1876 St. Pauls was declared a city. From the late 1960s to the present day, the citys population has almost doubled.

South Falls has about a dozen parks on its property. The most famous park is Falls Park, where you can see a spectacular array of waterfalls. There are easy trails to watch the breathtaking sight of tumbling water and old buildings made of quartzite.

There are several multifunctional sports stadiums that host a variety of sporting events.

One of the citys attractions that both adults and children can enjoy is the Aquapark. Theres a paddling pool with artificial waves, a creek where you can ride in a paddle boat, a golf course, a beach volleyball court, a racquetball court and many other fun activities.  A varied touring experience in a variety of stores and shops.
