The city of Spokane lies in the northwest of the country, not far from the border with Canada. It is administratively the center of the district. Initially, it was a small village where the fur trade was active. Later, significant deposits of precious metals were discovered in its vicinity. For a long time, the mining of valuable minerals has played an important role in the economy of Spokane. Now the high-tech industry is taking the lead.
The community was founded in the second half of the 19th century and named Spokane Falls. It attained its present status in 1881. It is known by its name "Purple City". Back in the beginning of the 20th century, the area was planted with sulfur. Over time, the bushes covered significant areas, turning them into flowering alleys. Now, in addition to the balmy greens, there are dozens of parks with walking paths and landscaped recreation areas within the city limits. It is surrounded by natural lakes where citizens love to fish.
Almost 100 acres of downtown Roberts Park is home to some of the citys biggest events. It has a wonderful view of the Spokane Falls. There is a peculiar attraction: the unusual attraction. It features an extreme river walk on a stormy stream. The small Recreation Park turns into a ice rink in winter, where there is rarely a freeze. Riverfront Park is also famous for its handmade 1909 chimney. Its not too old to be alive and happy for the little ones.
Manito Park is famous for a wildlife lake that has many ducks. Nearby, there are two orchards in the outskirts of the lake. One of them is designed as a garden with green gardens and interlocking labyrinthine labyrinths. Another is the Japanese garden of Japans Jasinomiya, with its beautiful sakura. Riverfront Park is equipped with hiking trails and walking paths. Here, outdoor enthusiasts enjoy mountain biking and mountain biking. Nature lovers will be delighted by the John Finch Endangered Area with its rare specimens of animals, birds and species.
