Denver, CO

Denver is located in the central part of the United States and is the capital of the state of Colorado. It was founded in 1858 by gold prospectors from Kansas. The city has many historic landmarks, architecturally interesting buildings, fascinating museums and parks. The General Assembly of Colorado now meets in this building. The construction of the Capitol lasted nearly a century. The construction was made with Colorado brown granite, with rare pink inks and white marble on the interior.

Walk down 16th Street. Its a kind of Denver Arbat. Wander through the many shops, relax in a cafe or restaurant, listen to street musicians, and watch a game of chess at the collegiate chess tables. If youre tired, the free shuttles are available.

Please visit the oldest neighborhood in the city – LoDo. Its the part of the city around which Denver grew. There are now many entertainment venues – bars, clubs, restaurants.

You should visit the town of Georgetown, not far from Denver. Its a mountain town with one main street and some rustic houses. Its probably the nicest grocery and ice cream shop in the world. And of course – the great peak of Argentine, which draws hikers to the area.

My hundred miles from the city is the most sought-after and most alive park in all of Colorado, andash; Rocky Mountain National Park.

The Denver Museum of Nature and Science was created in 1990. All kinds of exhibitions are regularly held there. The geology and health sections are of great interest to visitors. On leaving the tour, you can stroll through the fascinating lake park that surrounds the museum.

The Denver Art Museum, Confluence Park will delight you not only with its collection of European, American and Asian art, but also with the architecture of its building. The museum was designed by architect Henry Hamilton to look like the remains of a spaceship that was destroyed by aliens. In this museum, your child, who is 8 years old, will be able to touch different machines, climb where they can, climb on the floor, blow holes, learn about animals, and much more.

We also recommend visiting the Museum of European Art &nash; the Museu de la Miséle, which features young artists in photography, painting, and sculpture; Museum of miniatures, puppets and toys with a beautiful collection of toys from Russia, Japan, Chile and other countries.

The city has many parks. The biggest – Citi Park. You can go boating on the lakes in the park. The park has a beautiful natural park. We recommend that you visit the Parks Park section, «Tropical Forest» which is home to elephants.

Denvers Botanical Gardens, along with its traditional greenhouses with various plants – orchids, tropical palms, cactus, and other wild plants, is interesting in its Childrens Corner. Here children will learn how to garden, how to be a gardener, how to look like a vegetable garden, and what bees are for.
