Détroite – a mégégalopolis located in the State of Michigan, in the northern part of the United States. Founded by French colonists in the early 18th century, Detroit was part of Canada in the early 19th century. The climate in the region is mild, humid and continental, which softens the influence of the Great Lakes. Winters are mild, with lots of snow, and summers are mild, with temperatures at most temperatures not rising above +24deg.

Derebroite is known as the largest auto manufacturing center, being the largest auto supplier in the world. It is home to manufacturing and research facilities of automotive groups such as Cruiser, Gennery Motors, and Ford. Additionally, the related industries of Components, Wheels, Plastics and Metal contribute significantly to the citys budget.

The main feature of Downtown, visible from anywhere in the city, is the architectural ensemble, consisting of the seven skyscrapers owned by the company & lacrosse; General Motors» – «Racing Center». From the observation deck on the 72nd floor of the main building, a magnificent panorama of the city and the river is on view, and you can also see the Canadian town of Winsor on the other side of the border. And in the heart of the city is Tiger Park, which gets its name because of the many sculptures and barnacles that are located all over its territory. All of the parks pavilions and barnacles have a picture of this theme.

At least as interesting to tourists visiting Deteroit is the Henry Ford Museum, which features some very interesting exhibits, such as the Car of Kennedy, the Lincoln Crucifix, or items related to the assassinations of presidents and other first persons of the state.

Now, one of North Americas wealthiest cities is going through a period of decline, brought on by the global economic crisis and a decline in the auto industry that was the backbone of the city. This led to job losses and, as a consequence, an exodus of the able-bodied population to other regions of the country. Because of this, crime has skyrocketed, and today Detroit is considered one of the most crime-prone cities in the United States. It is striking to look at the largely abandoned quarters, and not to be surprised by the streets, which on the one hand are perfectly pleasant, with open shops and brightly decorated windows, and on the other, – the abandoned skyscrapers, with trees sprouting up through the facades. Repeated attempts to reinvigorate the city have so far come to nothing.
