Muluoki – the largest city in the state of Wisconsin. It lies to the southeast of the state, leaning on the western shore of Lake Michigan. There are three rivers in the territory of the city: Kinnikinkinik, Menomonee, and Moluoka. The name, in the language of the Indians, means place of gathering by the water, a good place.
Before the arrival of the Europeans, this area was inhabited by the Mascutians, Fauxques, Pottawatami, and others. The introduction of the territory of Molucca is associated with the name of the Frenchman Jacques Viaud. He founded the first settlement here in 1795. Méloucquois was founded in the first half of the 19th century by a cousin of Guy Claude Laurent Jeunot. Its favourable location made Molluca grow rapidly: in 1846 it was granted city status.
Mulhouse is known as the city where the headquarters of the world-famous company Harley-Davidson & ¬raquo; it is also known as the center of brewing. Theres even a museum of beer, and the leading football team is called «Mélouqui Brouwer » that is, «Beer Brewers».
The city has a significant tourist potential due to its many cultural sites and recreational areas. Some of the most famous landmarks are the Art Museum, St. Johns Basilica, the office building with the clock tower, the city tower and many memorials to famous personalities.
