Amariello – a town in Pottier County, located on the north side of the state in the Texas Hinterland. This area of the Great Plains is called Leyanno Eastcacado: its low plains and wide valleys are characteristic of it. Just 10 kilometers south of Amarillo is the second-largest U.S. cannon and the only National Park in Palo Durro.
