Ohosta – the capital of Maine. Located on the Kneek River in southern Maine, it is one of the three largest state capitals in the United States. However, it is – one of the oldest not only in New England, but also in the whole country. However, the settlement lasted just over 30 years and was abandoned to the oppression of the Neanderthals. The second attempt was made in 1754. There was a fort built to serve as a supply base for the troops. In 1797 the town was changed from Hallowell to Ogosta (in honor of Henry Dibern, a well-known political activist of the time). In 1820, Ogosta became the capital of Maine, and the state legislature has been in constant session since 1832.

The oldest wooden port in the United States, the one that began the citys modern history – Fort Worcester. Other notable landmarks include the Capitol of Maine and the Bleuen House (1832), which houses the office of the states governor. The city is surrounded by lakes, which offer a great recreational environment.
