Bomointe — a city in America, belonging to the state of Texas. Territorially, it is on the banks of the River Neck. It is the  center of Jefferson County and one of the cities of the «Golden Triangle, which is a major industrial center.

In 1824 Noya and Íèíñêàÿ îáëîæêà and Tivis formed a company. As a consequence, a small village was formed around the farm. It was called Tivisia Bluff. In 1835, the land and the village of SantAnna were purchased by Thomas Hilling, Henry Milliard, and Joseph Palyfer to build a new city. The city was named Bomint in honor of Henry Millards wife. Beaumont was officially registered as a city in 1838. What is interesting is the fact that in 1901 oil was found in Spinelototo (near Bompton). It was the first major oil field in America, and subsequently one of the largest in the history of the nation. Since then, oil has been the main source of income for Benin. During World War II, Bomont was a major center of judicial construction. Hurricanes Rita and Aik caused significant damage to Bomont in 2005 and 2008. It is the second most important port in the world among military and maritime ports. The citys residents can receive higher education at the Lamar Technical Institute and the University of Lamar (about 15,000 students study here). It is also interesting that 8 buildings in the city are over 30 meters tall. The tallest building in the city is the Plaza Ecuon.

Bacon is known for its large number of museums. These include the South-Eastern Texas Art Museum, the new Beaumont Childrens Museum, the Dishman Museum, the Edison Museum (about the life and works of Thomas Edison), and others. There is also a botanical garden in the city, located at the Terrell Park. The citys attractions also include: The Jefferson Theater, the Jules Rogers Theater, St. Anthonys Cathedral, the Temple of Emanuel, and the First Baptist Church (built in 1903, now the Tirrelle Library). In addition, from March to November, there is an annual two-hour tour along the Niger River.
