The city of Centennial is in the center of Colorado. It is part of the corporation of Denver, and is in fact a major city of Denver. It has no borders, by the way, with Denver: Centennial is on the south-eastern &equestrian &equestrian edge; it is on the eastern side of the border. Admistratively, the city belongs to the district of Arapahoe.

The date of the citys founding is known. It happened on February 6, 2001, by consolidating part of the territory of two townships – Southegn and Kaslwouda. The next day, the newly founded city was named. The name of the Centennial – denotes «century» and refers to the name of the State of Colorado, which is called the State of the Century.

By the time of its establishment, the population had grown to 100,000, making it the largest newly formed city in the country. The overwhelming majority of the population is white, the Polynesians and Afro-Americans have an insignificant representation. Most of the population is employed in the insurance industry and the financial sector.

Intenants most interesting projects can include the Cherry Creek Waterworks area on the north side of the city, as well as the Laboratory Quarter & Gamma Phi Beta; – the first womens student union in the United States.
