The American city of Colombia is part of the state of Missouri and belongs to the district of Boon. It is the main municipal government of the region of "Greater Colombia. The city is home to the University of Missouri. Colombia ranks 13th in the U.S. for educational attainment.

A group of white settlers who worked with a land company called Smithyton acquired some land here in 1818, and they founded the village of Smithyton. Today, Semiton is the business center of Colombia. Three years later, the settlers moved to the new area and changed their settlement to Colombia. In 1839 the University of Missouri was founded. With its founding, the city became an educational and scientific center. It didnt take long before two institutions of higher learning were established in the city. Among them are Stevens College and Columbia College.

Territorially, the city is located in the middle of the Missouri River region. Colombias economy is based on medicine, education, technology, and insurance services. Thus, the city has never been a major industrial center. The city consistently ranks high in rankings not only in terms of the quality of its educational institutions, but also in terms of the development of technology, health care, and cost of living. The citys population is called Colombia "Colombia"

The Municipal Arts Center and the Jésousie Auditorium are the largest performing arts venues in Colombia. The Museum of Art and Archaeology in Colombia provides 14,000 works of art and archaeology for the public free of charge in five galleries. Among the largest libraries are the City Library and the Library of the University of Missouri.

The city has an active sporting life. The football teams home games take place on the field. The Hyeres Center and Mitchell Arena are two large sports centers, and the latter is the home arena for the Mitchell basketball team. Stadion Òåéåéëèór is the baseball team of the University. Columbia also hosts state games "Chew Mee" in accordance with the Missouri State Athletic and Health Departments nonprofit program. Its the biggest state games in the United States.
