Reno – a city in the west of Nevada, the center of the county of Ouchau. The town lies in the valley of the River Tracts (the Traqui Forks) on the eastern edge of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. The people of the United States sometimes refer to Rinna as the biggest little city. Renos location is unique: the city lies at the junction of two great geological plates, and therefore its position is relatively unstable. In 2008, a remarkable phenomenon was recorded here for two months.

While 1868 is considered the official date for the founding of Reno, it was 1859 when a river crossing was built on its way from neighboring Virginia City to California. A mill, foundry, dining hall, and station were built near the post, and the settlement was named Lake Crossing. In 1863 a railroad track ran through the site, and in 1868 a new town was announced with the opening of the station. It was named in honor of the hero of the Civil War, Jesús Le Penne.

Reno – a famous game city. The first casinos opened in 1931, and until the rise of Las Vegas, it was Renaud that held the title of gambling capital of the country. In recent decades, it has been home to a number of so-called Indian Casinos, which enjoy certain tax breaks. Its where airplane enthusiasts come for the annual airplane races, and Lake Washoe (just south of Reno) is a gathering place for windsurfers. Many ski resorts have been built in the area, with trails for winter sports enthusiasts. The Museum of Art of Nevada and the Museum of Automobiles with its collection of famous machines and cars – the cultural highlights of Renaissance.
