Sandpoint is the largest city and county seat in Bonner County, Idaho , USA. According to the 2010 census. As the largest service center in two northern Idaho counties (Bonner and Boundary ), as well as northwestern Montana, it has an active retail sector. Quest Aircraft, a manufacturer of service aircraft, and Litehouse Foods, a manufacturer of salad dressings, are headquartered here.

Sandpoint sits on the shore of Idaho’s largest lake, 43 miles long Lake Pend Oreille , and is surrounded by three major mountain ranges: Selkirk, Cabinet and Bitterroot ranges. Home to Schweitzer Ski Resort , Idaho’s largest ski resort, it is located on the Selkirk International Loop and two National Scenic Byways (Wild Horse Trail and Pend Oreille Scenic Byway ). Among other national media awards over the past decade, in 2011 Sandpoint was named “The Most Beautiful Town” in the country by Random McNally and USA Today.
