Santa Barbara, CA

Overall Score

3.7

Santa Bárbara is the center of a unique county. The date of the founding of the first settlement on the territory of the present city is 1786. This settlement was named after Holy Martyr Barbara. The city was located in a serenely unstable area. In the summer of 1925, a tremendous earthquake destroyed virtually all of the citys structures. The mayor is the head of the city. Other than that, the city of SantAnna Barbara is home to the countys institutions. The citys mild climate attracts visitors from Los Angeles. Around Santa Barbara is Neverland (the huge home of the world-famous singer Michael Jackson). The city became even more popular after the release of the famous television series about the lives of several families in the city.

Santa Barbara has a fairly benign climate, but the citys expansion has been hampered by a lack of drinking water. Sample cities include Japans Toba, Mexicos Puerto Vallarta, Spains Palma, Ukraines Yalta, and Irelands Dingle. Some of the citys highlights are the Chumashka Sightseeing Cave and the Santabarara Museum of Natural History. Some of the citys most famous natives include singer and songwriter Katy Perry, actress and photographer Victoria Fouller, rock band Southeastern, and many others.
