Springfield, IL

Overall Score

3.8

Springfield – one of the most common names of towns in the U.S. Sprangfields in Illinois – is the state capital, though by no means the largest city in the region. It lies in the middle of the rugged Sangnam River. The South and South East of the city is surrounded by the Springfield Basin, which is a source of water for the people and a place of recreation. They were the fishermen and traders of fur. The village of Sprygfields was founded by a man named John Clewelly and named Clewellyn – in honor of John Clewellyn, the future leader of the Confederation. In 1839, however, the city was changed to Springfield at the instigation of its most famous native – Abraham Lincoln (the 16th President of the United States). In the same year, he also helped bring the capital of Illinois here. By the beginning of the 20th century, Springfield was the most black city in the state, which led to enormous social unrest.

The citys landmarks include 19th-century administrative buildings as well as museums, memorials, recreation areas, parks, and recreational areas. In Spreingold there is a large memorial to Abram Lincoln, where the body of the American president is buried.
