Ouest Palestine Beach – the name of the port and city on the eastern coast of Florida. The city has a rich, long history, unlike many American resort towns.

In the 16th century, the Spanish colonizers had first reached the coast of the Peninsula, while the Anglo-Americans replaced them in the middle of the 18th century. By then, the indigenous inhabitants of those areas had either been killed in wars, killed by disease, or evicted. Later, in the early 19th century, the Indian tribes (the Seminoles) attacked the colonizers with the intention of invading the territories. The Indians were often the peasant slaves.

In the 1870s and 80s, the site of what is now Aust-Palm Beach was the site of the original settlement. A few hundred or so people on the banks of Lake Orth were usually engaged in the cultivation of vegetables and fruits. As early as 1890 there was a church, a post office, and a hotel in that time. Two luxury hotels were built on the nearby island of Palm Beach, Thus, in the early 20th century, the vast majority of the population worked in the service industry, in tourism, or, as before, in fruit and vegetable growing. In the 1920s, the Florida Land Boom began (the urban population grew by more than four times). This was followed by a decrease in population, the Great Depression, and the citys resurgence until the beginning of World War II, when the aviation depot was being built in the area. In the 1950s, East Palm Beach experienced another wave of population growth. It was mainly due to the return of soldiers from the front.

Our East Palm Beach still has many of the buildings from the late 19th and early 20th centuries, giving the town its distinctive character. The Popular Tourist Attraction is the Park at Peoples Park and the Pealm Beach Zoo. If you want, you can go to «Lions Park, the oldest zoo in the United States without cages.

Every year, the Sunfest – a festival of music and art, as well as the annual Barretta-Jackson Auditorium.

The city has large shopping malls, and for fans of the product – Antique Road, a neighborhood of specialty shops.
