Winston, NC

Overall Score

3.9

The city of Winston-Sale in the state of North Carolina. The name itself implies that it is the center of the tobacco industry. Previously, it was the site of two towns, Window and Seychelles, which merged in 1913. Seychelles itself was founded in 1753, but a century later Óínstón was founded.

One of the highlights of Lake Seychelles is the redevelopment of the old village museum, which includes a whole group of different structures. The attractions of Old Salem include museums of toys and decorative arts, a tavern, as well as reconstructions of ancient villages. The city is rightly called the Center for Art and Innovation.

There are many educational institutions, including the university. Many offices of major corporations are located here. There are also many art galleries and an opera house. The tallest building in the city is 100 North Main Street, which is 34 stories and one hundred and forty feet high.

The Reynolda Gardens are also a feature of historic Sailem. They are open every day to anyone who wants them. Today, the gardens contain an enormous variety of plants, including fruit trees, flowers, roses, living gardens, as well as tea houses, pantries and bejewels.
